I've seen a lot of bands form, build up, chug on, burn out, fade out, and blow up (in the bad way) over the years.  My favorites, of course, are the first two.  Which is where this week's guest, Jason Wells falls.  When I first had him on, it was promoting a few demos that he turned into his first album.  While the music, I thought, was solid, the recordings were still lacking the depth and interplay that except in very rare instances, you only get with a full band.  This is a guy you must go see play live to fully appreciate the depth of his talent and ability.  To some extent, I think this comes across in the quick set he played live for the radio audience here in Studio B -- and now available for streaming on our Mini Concert's Page -- even though this was only as a duo with guitarist J.T. Kidwell.

As with most three-time guests, the interview process pretty much falls apart and becomes more a stream-of-conscious catching up between friends over a couple of beers.  Still, we get to hear about the first fruits of his marketing efforts, as well as what didn't work out so well, and the popular "Random Odd-Ball Questions" segment, we get a bit of an insight into his influences and how his mind works.  Besides, it's always good to hang out with Jason, I don't get to do it nearly enough.
